Design is offering three different townhome designs, each
combined with different floor plan choices as well as a
large variety of quality finish and feature options. We
have focused thirty years of experience in creating one
of Vermont's finest new neighborhoods at Heatherfield.
Neighborhood description:
HEATHERFIELD
consists of 45 acres, located close to the core of South
Burlington, close to a whole spectrum of services, institutions,
and shopping. 83 townhomes will be built over a period planned
to extend through late 2008. A new connecting road, Songbird
Lane, will connect Dorset and Spear streets, which in turn
will feed the various clusters of buildings on the land.
The permitting for Heatherfield took over four years to
achieve with a great deal of local and state oversight,
but the results were worth it. Heatherfield's site is an
important natural area, largely wooded, and containing seven
distinct wetland areas. In addition to the connector road,
a recreation path will run its entire length, east to west,
and ultimately link the recreation paths running along Spear
and Dorset. All roads, water and sewer lines will be city
owned. Natural gas and all other electrical, phone, and
cable TV lines will all be underground, and will serve all
homes in the neighborhood.

The Townhome Designs:
The design, construction details, options, and specification selections at Heatherfield are the culmination gained in crafting quality multi-family communities. Before starting construction on Heatherfield, we fine tuned our designs with a panel comprised of past and present Homestead townhome owners and real estate experts, and went back to the drawing board to incorporate their ideas. Paying attention to that kind of feedback from our customers has made us a better building company and has paid off for Homestead owners with every successive project, in enjoyment and value.
There are two different series offered at Heatherfield,
Series I and Series II. Both series are virtually identical
in plan configuration, but Series II plans and specifications
are more luxurious. The three different town home
plans, the Cedar, the Elm, and the Fir, are designed to
be able to accommodate many different lifestyle choices.
These include master bedroom suites on the first floor,
all bedrooms on the second level, home offices, dens, and
multiple plan options for kitchens, master baths, and bedroom
arrangements. Models are flexible in their ability to locate
within a building. You can choose your home in your location.
While the plans offer a variety of features, there are elements
which are common to all of town homes. Any town home location
may receive an optional screen porch or wood paneled sunroom,
complete with a charming glass doored gas stove, as well
as "gourmet" kitchen options.
